Introduction

Learn Plan Profit is an online education platform for traders. It offers video lessons, live trading sessions, and one-on-one coaching to help traders develop the skills and strategies needed for a profitable trading career.

If you have been watching YouTube videos on trading, chances are that you have come across Ricky Gutierrez. He claims to be the youngest millionaire in the entire locality of Gilbert in Arizona.

The 23-year-old is behind the Learn Plan Profit platform. Through that platform, he claims to train and empower other upcoming traders by sharing his live trading videos and answering their QnAs.

But is his service worth $299 price tag? Let’s find out.

A Quick Overview of this Service

LEARN PLAN PROFIT

Simply put, Learn Plan Profit is an online-based day trading course owned by Ricky Gutierrez. Ricky is quite popular on social media platforms where he flaunts his wealth and stuff.

To join his platform, one needs to part with a one-off payment of $299. Yup, you read that right. Ricky doesn’t charge any monthly subscription fees despite the fact that he actively maintains the platform on a day to day basis.

As far as the quality of learning is concerned, this course is made up of 7-hours worth of course material. We think that 50 percent of the program is made up of basic stuff. Fortunately, the other 50 percent is worthwhile as it comprises actionable insights and suggestions.

Who Is Learn Plan Profit Best Suited For?

One thing we noticed about Ricky’s trading strategies is that they tend to work best when one opens trades during the early morning hours (just when the markets open). So, we think that this platform is ideal for you if you’re willing to wake up a little early and be ready to trade by 9 am.

Also, Ricky is quite risk-averse. So, if you’re looking for someone who likes “playing it safe” while still managing to make some good cash, we think he’d be a good trainer to work with.

That said, we feel that he should pay more emphasis on long-term trading. So, if you’re into long-term trading and speculation, this might not be the best service to settle for.

The Curriculum

To provide you with a deeper understanding of what this platform entails, we’d like to break down its curriculum. This is broken down into 4 modules each one of which is thoughtfully arranged to support gradual learning.

1) Mastering the Market: Module One

This is the introductory module. It covers different trading principles and methodologies. What’s more, this is the place where you’ll find all the elementary stuff about trading.

We think that Module #1 is best suited for people looking to learn stock trading from scratch. So, it’s a beginner-oriented level of learning which can also be beneficial to some intermediate-skilled traders.

One of the key take-homes from this level of learning is the “buy and hold” mindset. Remember that trading is all about psychology and risk management.

This introductory module seems to cater to those needs quite effectively. Some of the key topics you’ll find here include:

  • Introduction to support and resistance concepts
  • The amount of money you need to start trading profitably
  • Insights into the art of paper trading
  • The dos and don’ts of choosing a broker
  • All about the PDT rule

And a lot more.

As you can see, this is the kind of stuff meant for beginners. If you’re really experienced in trading, some of this stuff might seem too simplistic, though.

2) The Mechanics of Trading: Module Two

This is where the rubber meets the road. After helping you develop the right foundation in the introductory module, Ricky now focuses on helping you put together a sound strategy.

One key thing about Module #2 is that the trainer discusses technical analysis in detail. As you may know, technical analysis is quite important when you need to make decisions based on statistical trends.

Another thing, Ricky also uses this platform to provide the details of the main indicators he uses. Plus, he also actually shows you the kind of patterns he looks for in his charts.

We like just how detailed this level of training is. In brief, some of the things you’ll learn from this guide include:

  • The methodology of identifying trade setups
  • Taking profits or cutting losses
  • Entering and exit positions

Much as this module is quite helpful, you might find it pretty basic if you’ve been trading for several years.

3) Indicators & Best Practices: Module Three

If you love the idea of consolidating short to medium-term gains, this is the strategy for you. Basically, with the technical analysis skills gained in module 2, you’ll be well placed to identify swing trading opportunities way ahead of anyone else.

That said, the concept of swing trading is often easier said than done. Plus, it seems like everyone who is out there training people how trade has their own confusing methods to suggest.

What makes Learn Plan Profit different is that Ricky simplifies everything through his 6 Golden Rules of Swing Trading concept.

This is his personal strategy. And so, if you’ve been admiring his stuff online, this is definitely a module you’ll want to look into.

In our view, Ricky has done a decent job in profit maximization and risk management. Kudos to him.

4) 3 ETF Patterns to Know: Module Four

Sometimes, you want to think beyond stock trading. And in that case, it makes perfect sense to aim for ETF trading. Known in full as Exchange Trade Funds, ETFs are better than stock if you’re looking for the opportunity to track a large market index.

For instance, through ETFs, you can target various market segments such as the S&P 500 and NASDAQ. In fact, some traders use them to target sectors like commodity markets, tech, and even oil.

So, what has Ricky got to do with that? Well, he seems to love ETFs quite a lot.

He not only explains the benefits of ETFs to his readers but also shows them the hacks for making the most out of every opportunity.

We’re not big fans of ETF trading but we happened to think that the course content on this topic is quite well done in the Learn Plan Profit program.

Is This Course Worth Paying For?

First off, we’d like to say that we’re yet to understand why Ricky doesn’t charge a monthly subscription charge for this service. And given that you can access all his content with a one-off payment, we feel that he offers a really good deal.

There are trainers charging thousands of dollars for the kind of stuff Ricky provides.

Plus, Ricky isn’t an aggressive marketer really. Although he regularly shows off on social media, he doesn’t go the full extent of buying expensive ads. Neither does he use extremely salesy language in his videos.

Above all, we realized that most trainers tend to upsell their subscribers. So far, Ricky doesn’t seem keen on that which is a plus if you want to sharpen your skills in a none-salesy environment.

In our view, Ricky’s platform is perfectly suited for anyone wishing to build a strong foundation. That said, it might be too basic for anyone looking to make the most of the opportunities the stock markets provide.

Also, Ricky is still relatively new in this field. His strategies have not been tried, tested, and proven to work in the long haul.

Our View on the Advantages of the Program

This course helps you figure out all the basics with ease. But before you invest in it, chances are that you need a little more than just the basics. So, here are some of the good reasons to invest your hard-earned 300 bucks into the platform.

  • Excellent coverage of basic trading concepts: You’ll find this beneficial if you’re a complete beginner.
  • Actionable Trading Insights: Ricky himself provides you with details on the kinds of indicators he uses. He also provides live images of his trading setups.
  • Day Trading and Swing Trading Combo: No matter your style of trading, some of the insights Ricky shares can be of immense value.
  • Fair Pricing: This cannot be overemphasized. In fact, we feel that he might be tempted to either raise the initial cost of subscription or introduce a recurring subscription to those who will join later.

What Could Have Been Better

Just like any other system available out there, this one has its fair share of downsides as well. And without mincing our words, here are a few of those:

  • Some of the topics covered in Module 1 are too basic
  • The trainer is relatively new in the game
  • Even the guru himself only makes a couple of hundreds of dollars per day

Conclusion

Ricky is by no means Tim Sykes, Jason Bond, or Nathan Michaud. He might not be making thousands of dollars per day and neither does he boast the level of experience the like of Jeff Bishop have.

Fortunately, he is a relatively successful new kid on the block. And if the old saying “new brooms sweep clean” holds true, his platform might be worth checking out.

However, if you’re looking for a better tested and stable platform, we think that Nathan Michaud’s Investors underground offers a better alternative.

Investors Underground is a fully-fledged learning platform that comes complete with customer support and a high level of transparency.

And from our experience, this service provides nothing but good value for money. We’d recommend it over Learn Plan Profit, any day.
